Ingredients
🔸️450g boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
🔸️ 1 cup plain yogurt
🔸️2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
🔸️ 1 tbsp lemon juice
🔸️ 3 tsp ground cumin
🔸️ 2 tsp ground turmeric
🔸️ 1 tsp ground garam masala
🔸️ 3 tsp ground coriander
🔸️ 2 tsp chili powder
🔸️ Salt
🔸️ 1 tbsp grated ginger
🔸️ 2 cloves garlic, minced
🔸️ 2 tablespoon butter
🔸️ 1 large onion, finely chopped
🔸️ 3 cloves garlic, minced
🔸️ 1 tsp sugar
🔸️1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
🔸️ 1 cup heavy cream
🔸️ 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
🔸️ In a large bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, turmeric, garam masala, coriander, chili powder, salt, ginger, and garlic.
🔸️ Add the chicken pieces to the marinade.
🔸️ Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
🔸️ Preheat your oven to 400°F, Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil.
🔸️ Place the marinated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet.
🔸️ Bake for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
🔸️ In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat.
🔸️ Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown.
🔸️ Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook until fragrant.
🔸️ Stir in the ground cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, chili powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
🔸️ Add the tomato puree stir occasionally, until the oil begins to separate from the sauce
🔸️ Stir in the heavy cream and water. Bring to a gentle simmer.
🔸️ Add the cooked chicken pieces to the sauce and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Adjust the seasoning with salt if needed.
🔸️ Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.
