Classic Fish Pakora Recipe

Crispy, golden fish pakoras packed with flavour a perfect crunchy snack for tea-time, Ramadan iftar, or party platters.

Ingredients:
🔸 300g white fish fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
🔸 1 cup gram flour (besan)
🔸 2 tbsp rice flour (for extra crispiness)
🔸 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
🔸 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
🔸 1 tsp red chilli powder
🔸 1 tsp garam masala
🔸 1 tsp cumin powder
🔸 1/2 tsp black pepper
🔸 Salt to taste
🔸 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
🔸 1 green chilli, finely chopped (optional)
🔸 1/2 cup water (adjust for batter consistency)
🔸 Oil for deep frying
🔸 Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:
🔸 Wash and pat dry the fish pieces.
🔸 In a bowl, mix gram flour, rice flour, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, black pepper and salt.
🔸 Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped coriander and green chilli.
🔸 Gradually add water to make a thick, smooth batter.
🔸 Add the fish pieces to the batter and coat them well.
🔸 Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
🔸 Carefully drop the coated fish pieces into the hot oil.
🔸 Fry for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
🔸 Remove and place on kitchen paper to drain excess oil.
🔸 Serve hot with mint chutney, lemon wedges or your favourite dipping sauce and enjoy
