Dum Pukht Biryani Recipe

Dum Pukht Biryani🍛
Ingredients:
🔸️500g meat
🔸️1 small onion,
🔸️1 cup yogurt
🔸️1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste,Red Chili Powder,Garam Masala
🔸️½ tsp turmeric powder
🔸️Juice of ½ lemon
🔸️Salt to taste
🔸️1½ cups SK Foods Basmati Rice
🔸️1 bay leaf,2 green cardamoms,3 cloves,½ inch cinnamon stick
🔸️1 large onion 
🔸️1 tbsp chopped mint
🔸️1 tbsp chopped coriander
🔸️Few strands of saffron
🔸️2 tbsp ghee or oil
🔸️Dough (made from wheat flour) for sealing the pot

Instructions:
🔸️In a large bowl, mix all marinade ingredients. Add the meat and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight in the fridge.
🔸️Boil water with whole spices and salt. Add soaked basmati rice and cook till 70% done. Drain and set aside.
🔸️In a heavy-bottomed pot or handi:Add marinated meat as the first layer,Top with half the parboiled rice,
Sprinkle fried onions, mint, coriander, and saffron milk,Repeat rice and toppings, drizzle ghee on top.
🔸️Seal the pot with dough and place a heavy lid on top and Cook on low heat.
🔸️Let it rest for 10 minutes after turning off the flame. Break the seal at the table for that royal, aromatic steam reveal. Serve hot .
