Lamb Shawarma Recipe

Lamb Shawarma Recipe
Ingredients:
🔸️500g boneless lamb 
🔸️3 tbsp plain yogurt
🔸️2 tbsp olive oil
🔸️1½ tsp ground cumin
🔸️1 tsp ground coriander, paprika
🔸️½ tsp turmeric, ground cinnamon, chilli powder
🔸️Salt and pepper to taste
🔸️Pita, naan, or flatbreads
🔸️Garlic sauce or tahini sauce
🔸️Pickled cucumbers or turnips, Sliced onions & fresh parsley
🔸️Lettuce or shredded cabbage

Instructions:
🔸️Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add lamb and coat well. Cover and marinate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight in the fridge.
🔸️Heat a heavy pan or skillet. Add marinated lamb in batches and sear on high heat until browned and cooked through (8–10 mins).
🔸️Spread lamb on a baking tray and roast at 220°C (425°F) for 20–25 mins, flipping once.
🔸️Warm the pita or naan. Spread garlic sauce, layer with lettuce, cooked lamb, pickles, onions, and herbs.
🔸️Wrap tightly, grill the roll for 1–2 mins on each side if desired, then slice in half.
